Twine

E-mail Print PDF
Twine is a strong thread or string composed of two or more smaller strands or yarns twisted together. More generally, the term can be applied to any thin cord. And it is also a new website I was recently invited to join. Twine.com describes themselves as: a new service that helps you organize, share and discover information about your interests, with networks of like-minded people. You can use Twine alone, with friends, groups and communities, or even in your company. Or "the first mainstream Semantic Web application". The semantic web is about creating an internet that is easier for applications and data to be shared and Twine does allow more contextual information sharing amongst groups and friends. If information is something you are interested in getting before anyone else (at least as quickly as anyone else in the groups and twines that you are subscribed to) then Twine could be for you. You can read more about it in Read/Write Web and TechCrunch.
