These days it seems silly to be based in the same place as the work. There are lots of web based freelancer websites; several cover multiple paradigms and industries. Joomlancers focuses on Joomla projects.
Which is great if you have a Joomla customisation that you want done quickly and cheaply.
But of more importance, is why compete with experts in India and other inexpensive localities? Why not move somewhere with low overheads and great broadband and be one of the cheap alternatives? Shit I’d rather be sitting on the beach in south east asia… $10 an hour would cover the days meals… not just lunch.
