I’ve just been ripping out the graphic and trying to get the theme to validate against the xhtml strict standard. I think it looks nicer and much cleaner without all the graphics.
Hopefully it will be less maintenance when I get around to the 2.5 upgrade.

The real reason is that I couldn’t be bothered playing with the theme that much

I’ve moved the content back to the center… I put the stylesheet rules:
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
into the .border CSS rules.
