I’ve been hacking into this theme I am using, to help create a more specific blog. Nobody really writes a blog about one topic, but it makes it more worthwhile to read if you know what the heck I’m talking about, or it is at least similar to what I was talking about last time. But I’ve been commentating recent rowing events, occasionally talking about my own training and mixing in some Java stuff, which isn’t too different to talking about JavaScript, PHP and social networks… but it is different.
What I’ve done, is create pages that draw their own Wordpress Loops. These automatically pick up when I tag a post with Java, or something rowing related. At least they try, I’ll probably go through and make sure my categories make sense and perhaps I’ll add more pages. More pages might equal more specific content, but it also creates some confusion - all the categories go into the one feed. And the previous pages won’t work for the rowing and Java page.
If anyone is interested in how I got the pages to show loops - let me know.

I learnt that lesson a while back, completely screwed up all my text widgets and had to reinstal them. That was a few hours wasted.
@Ian - it is pretty easy to waste a couple of hours playing with the themes, plugins and widgets - or whatever your blog software calls them.
But I should really build a test environment to play with… it would save breaking things online whenever I wanted to try a new plugin - or work out multiple loops!
