This is a snap shot of the checked out documents pane of the User Interface as well as a check in dialog. Unfortunately much of the design was cemented before I joined the project, so I was very unhappy about the lack of freedom from the start. On joining another project I am going to enforce my input and ensure that any prior decisions are real requirements before I get my hands dirty.
This is a particularly complicated part of the user interface, the properties are backed by an XML metadata file, which I utilized across the application. It works very nicely, however I tried to generalize the product too much and should have consider the design more and the defects less. It was also used in the dynamic search interface.
