I’m pretty sure that the LZW algorithm was originally credited to Ziv and Welch… Or am I wrong?
Update: I am wrong, it appears I didn’t know how to use Google or Wikipedia in August 2005… or perhaps I was rusty. Which seems silly to me now. As I built a couple of Firefox searches in 2004: Yahoo! Korea and AskOxford… it appears I didn’t have the wikipedia plugin.
